Deep Thoughts
by Krista O

Sometimes I think that all animals are imparted with the secrets of life, but because of this God decided not to give them the gift of human communication. But if they could talk...wow, it would be cool.

Hi ye bastards! Welcome to ye olde country blogge. Tis me, Krista! Of the Virginia Krista's. Waz up? Why are you here? What are you looking to find? Entertainment? Porn? (Or are they one in the same?) Gossip? Information? Funny Pictures? Well, you get none of that tonight. Tonight you will get stream of consciousness. A stream coming from a sofa in Brooklyn at 1 am on Sunday morning. My new kitten is sleeping on the floor next to me. The tv is on, but I'm not watching it. I should be cleaning my apartment. My new roommate Kedar is moving in tomorrow. I just can't get motivated.

Things have been changing lately. As some of you might know, I am now a SuperTemp (TM). I've been temping all over the city. Part of me loves it. I work all over the place. I don't have to deal with stupid people shit, no one really cares what I do, and I can surf the web all day. However, it has its down sides. Those being, I have to surf the web all day and no one really cares what I do. It's boring as hell some days. But so far I've been lucky and have been placed at some cool places. My last assignment was at Rockefeller Center. You know what is cool about that? From 9 to 10 AM all you hear is the roar of the crowd cheering for the Today Show people. And you know what I heard the people cheering for last Thursday? Taylor Hicks. I heard him play his stupid harmonica and the people loved it. Loved it. However funny it is hearing all that from the desk of a temp, how annoying must it be for everyone who has to listen to that every freakin day? People were trying to have meetings and every few minutes the meeting is interrupted by screaming and a southern guy yelling, "soul patrol!" The company I worked for before that was cool because their fridge was stocked with Vitamin Water and they had free snacks.

I don't know where I'll be placed next week, but here is to hoping they have free lunches. Boy do I love me some Hedge Funds. I have no idea what they do, but I do know they have some great perks.
